Blackpool Comedy Carpet is one of Britain’s most celebrated pieces of public art, honouring the work of over 1,000 comedy performers and writers. On behalf of Blackpoll Council, Sean Conboy shot the Comedy Carpet for full media and PR usage.
Sean photographed the Comedy Carpet at twilight to stylistically convey the art piece’s magnitude and history. He used his Hasselblad H4D-60 digital back with a Linhof Techno, and lit the scene simply with natural light and the Broncolor Move flash photography system. Sean’s lenses of choice for this selection were the Rodenstock 23mm HR Digaron-S, Rodenstock 32mm Digaron-W, Schneider 43mm Apo Digitar, Hesselblad 28mm and Hasselblad 50-110mm Zoom.
